The Lexus NX is available in two basic guises, NX 300 and NX 300h. The NX 300 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L, 4-cylinder engine that makes 235 horsepower. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is an option across the entire NX lineup. The NX 300h is powered by a 2.5L, 4-cylinder engine that is assisted by an electric motor. Lexus has developed a "kick-down" feature for its hybrid system, which allows for more immediate power delivery on the highway.
The NX is a Lexus in every sense of the word and comes accordingly with a nice list of standard equipment. This includes a smart key with easy access entry, a push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, one-touch power windows, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, an 8-inch LCD display with an optional 10.3-inch touchscreen display in the center dash, an 8-speaker premium sound system and Lexus' Enform Safety Connect system along with a host of advanced Lexus safety features.
The Luxury trim adds a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated leather front seats, wood interior trim, rain sensing wipers and a power rear door.
The NX 300h F Sport Black Line trim is all new for 2021 and adds a sport suspension, sport pedals, a sport steering wheel, black exterior accents, cornering lights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, active noise cancellation, a proximity key, and front and rear parking sensors.
Safety features across the NX include an active lane departure system, forward collision mitigation, rear collision warning, a pedestrian detection system, a driver attention alert and a traffic sign information system.

Powerful But Efficient Engine Choices
The 2021 Lexus NX carries over with minimal changes, a blind spot monitor and auto-dimming mirrors are now standard and the 300h adds an F Sport Black Line Trim to the lineup.
The Lexus NX enters into the growing compact SUV market but offers a bit more luxury and a lot more style than any of its competitors. The Lexus NX also stands out with its available hybrid powertrain, making this the sixth hybrid Lexus in their lineup. With a short wheelbase ideal for city driving, the Lexus NX is easy to park and maneuver. However, with decent ground clearance, it has no trouble negotiating bumpy country lanes or dealing with light off-road duty during picnic trips. For drivers who want a little extra dose of excitement, the NX is available in F SPORT guise. With unique styling features and sportier demeanor, the F SPORT looks meaner and even more serious than the standard NX.
